Best EOR Providers in India (2026): 8 Providers Compared With Prices and Facts

By StratEdge Global5 min read
On this page

Quick answer: the best EOR provider in India depends on your budget, how many countries you hire in, and how much support you want. India-focused providers such as Asanify, Wisemonk, Remunance and NativeTeams publish EOR prices of about $99 per employee per month. Global platforms such as Deel and Remote publish $599 or more. Mid-market options such as Gloroots ($199), StratEdge Global ($349) and Multiplier ($459) sit in between. On a 10-person India team, that difference adds up to anywhere from $11,880 to $71,880 a year in EOR fees alone, before salaries and statutory costs.

What EOR Fees Cost Per Year by Team Size

The EOR fee is charged per employee, every month. Here is what the published starting prices add up to over a year, before salaries, statutory contributions and any negotiated discounts.

EOR fees per year by team size: StratEdge Global compared with other EOR providers

Calculated from published starting prices. Large teams can often negotiate lower rates; independent trackers report Deel rates of $350 to $500 for 20+ employees.

A lower fee is not automatically the cheaper option. If health insurance, equipment or onboarding support are sold as extras, the total can end up closer to a higher-priced plan that includes them. Compare what is included, not just the headline number.

What changed in 2026: India's Labour Codes

    What Changed in 2026

Any EOR you choose must now comply with India’s new labour framework. According to the Government of India (PIB), the four Labour Codes (the Code on Wages 2019, the Industrial Relations Code 2020, the Code on Social Security 2020, and the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code 2020) became effective on 21 November 2025, consolidating 29 labour laws.

    • The 50% wage rule: allowances above 50% of total pay are now added back to “wages”. This raises the base for PF and gratuity, especially in salary structures with a low basic.
    • Gratuity for fixed-term employees: fixed-term employees now qualify for gratuity after one year of continuous service instead of five, on a pro-rata basis.
    • Rules still rolling out: the Central Rules were notified on 8 May 2026, and many states are still finalising their own rules, so compliance details can vary by state.

Ask any provider how their contracts, salary structures and gratuity accruals have been updated for the Labour Codes. It is the clearest test of how current their India compliance really is.

    How we compared the providers

    1. Total cost: the published fee, plus what is included and what is sold as an add-on.
    2. India compliance depth: PF, ESI, gratuity, TDS, professional tax, the Labour Codes and state-level rules.
    3. Entity model: whether the provider employs through its own Indian entity or through a local partner.
    4. Speed: how fast a signed offer becomes a working, paid employee.
    5. Contract terms: deposits, lock-ins, notice periods and exit costs.
    6. Support: whether you get a named contact or a ticket queue, and in what time zone.

    • Watch-outs reported by independent reviewers: an India country surcharge of $50 to $150 per employee per month, and a refundable deposit of 1 to 1.5 times the monthly cost that does not appear on the main pricing page. Third-party sources disagree on whether Deel employs directly or through a partner in India, so ask Deel to confirm.

Choose it if India is one of many countries you hire in and integrations matter. Look elsewhere if your team is mostly in India, where the fee is high relative to local specialists.

Choose it if you already hire across Singapore, the Philippines or Australia and want India on the same platform.

    5. Gloroots: Best flat low fee with India depth

Gloroots charges a flat $199 per employee per month for EOR, with contractor management at $29 and contractor of record at $99. It employs through its own Indian entity and publishes onboarding in 1 to 2 working days. It also publishes a useful benchmark: entity setup in India typically takes 3 to 6 months and $20,000 to $27,000 upfront.

Choose it if you want a simple, low flat fee and are comfortable arranging some benefits separately.

    6. Asanify: best low-cost India specialist

Asanify is an India-focused EOR that has run its own Indian entity since 2019, pricing EOR from $99 per employee per month. It handles monthly payroll, TDS, EPF, ESI, professional tax, gratuity accruals and full-and-final settlements.

How to Choose the Right EOR Provider in India

Choose Right EOR Provider in India
    1. Count your countries. India only? An India specialist is usually best value. Many countries? A global platform may be simpler.
    2. Ask about the entity. Does the provider employ through its own Indian entity or a partner?
    3. Get a sample invoice for a real salary, so deposits, FX mark-ups and surcharges show up.
    4. Check what is included: health insurance, equipment, onboarding and offboarding support.
    5. Ask about the Labour Codes: how contracts, salary structures and gratuity accruals have been updated.
    6. Confirm IP assignment, so work created by your employee belongs to your company.
    7. Check support: who your day-to-day contact is, and how fast they respond in your time zone.

    Frequently Asked Questions

India-focused providers such as Asanify, Wisemonk, Remunance and NativeTeams publish starting prices of about $99 per employee per month. Check whether benefits such as health insurance are included, because they are often extra at this price.

EOR fees range from about $99 to $699 per employee per month. On top of the fee, you pay the employee’s salary and employer statutory costs, which are mainly PF at 12% of basic wages and a gratuity provision of about 4.81% of basic.

Both suit companies hiring in many countries. Deel lists EOR at $599 per employee per month; Remote at $599 on an annual plan or $699 monthly. If most of your team is in India, an India-focused or mid-market provider is usually more cost-effective.

No. With an Employer of Record, the EOR is the legal employer and handles contracts, payroll, PF, ESI, TDS and compliance, while you direct the work.

Published onboarding times range from 24 hours to about 10 working days. StratEdge Global typically has a compliant hire working in about 48 hours once the candidate’s documents are complete.

Since 21 November 2025, allowances above 50% of total pay count as wages, which can raise PF and gratuity costs. Fixed-term employees also now qualify for gratuity after one year instead of five.
