Worked example: Remote cost for one hire in India
Say you hire a mid-level engineer in Bengaluru on a ₹24 lakh CTC, about $28,000 a year. Salary, Provident Fund and gratuity are set by your offer and Indian law, so they're the same with any EOR. The difference is the platform fee and what's bundled with it.

India costs to check with Remote

- Provident Fund. The employer pays 12% of PF wages. The statutory ceiling rose to ₹25,000 a month from 17 September 2026.
- Gratuity. Commonly accrued at about 4.81% of basic salary a year. Ask whether it's invoiced monthly or at exit.
- Labour Codes. Wages must be at least 50% of total pay, which raises PF and gratuity on many salary structures. Our Labour Codes guide explains what changed.
