The 5 Best Deel Alternatives in 2026

By StratEdge Global5 min read
On this page

Deel charges $599 per EOR employee per month. Alternatives range from $199 to $699, and the cheapest isn’t automatically the best fit. The right choice depends on how many countries you hire in, how much hands-on support you want, what’s bundled into the fee, and whether you need month-to-month terms.

We’ve compared five Deel alternatives on published EOR price, contract flexibility, what’s included and the kind of team each one suits best. We’ve also included annual cost tables by team size, a step-by-step guide to switching EOR, and the questions that expose hidden costs.

Full disclosure: StratEdge Global is one of the providers below. We’ve used each company’s own published pricing, checked on 12 October 2026, so you can verify every number.

What EOR platform fees add up to

The platform fee is the part of your invoice that differs between providers. Salary and statutory costs are set by your offer and by local law, so they’re the same with any EOR. Here’s what list-price fees cost per year:

    Provider (list price)1 employee5 employees10 employees25 employees
    Gloroots ($199)$2,388$11,940$23,880$59,700
    StratEdge Global ($349)$4,188$20,940$41,880$104,700
    Multiplier Core, annual ($459)$5,508$27,540$55,080$137,700
    Deel ($599)$7,188$35,940$71,880$179,700
    Remote / Oyster ($699)$8,388$41,940$83,880$209,700

Fees alone don’t tell the whole story. A lower fee that excludes health insurance can cost more in total than a higher fee that includes it. Check what each price covers before comparing.

Why companies look for a Deel alternative

    • Price. At $599 per employee per month, platform fees for a team of 10 reach $71,880 a year before salaries.
    • Support. Large platforms route questions through support queues. Smaller teams often want a person who knows their account and their employees.
    • Country depth. Coverage of 150+ countries matters less if most of your hires are in one country, such as India. Depth in that one country matters more.
    • Bundling. Some teams want health insurance and compliance in one flat fee rather than priced separately.

    How we compared the providers

We looked at five things for each provider:

    1. Published EOR price, from the provider’s own pricing page
    2. Contract terms: monthly vs annual, and any stated add-ons or implementation fees
    3. What’s included in the headline price, where the provider states it
    4. Breadth: the other products offered alongside EOR, such as contractors, payroll and PEO
    5. Best-fit team: the kind of company each provider suits

We haven’t scored providers on claims we can’t verify from published sources, such as support speed. Ask every shortlisted provider for references from companies like yours.

    1. StratEdge Global — best for India-first teams

Most EORs give you a contract and an invoice. StratEdge Global gives you an employee who works, and feels, like part of your own team. You get one partner and one platform from hiring to exit, with payroll, PF, ESI, TDS, gratuity and Labour Code compliance handled by our own team. Our proprietary platform, EmpleYor, gives clients and employees real-time visibility, so nothing waits on an email or an invoice.

    • Real-time cost, no surprises. EmpleYor shows you the actual pay and fee for each hire, line by line, as payroll runs. You don’t have to request a breakdown or wait for an invoice to see what a hire really costs.
    • The hire is fully visible. Your manager sees live onboarding status, timesheets, leave, attendance and recognitions: the same view you’d have of a direct employee.
    • Engaged employees, not just compliant ones. At no extra cost, every EOR employee gets group health insurance, learning credits and access to our recognition programme, so they grow and get recognised alongside your own team.
    • No candidate yet? We find one. Our in-house recruitment team, HireEdge, sources the hire, and we employ them through our India employing entity, StratGrid Private Limited. One contract covers search, employment and HR.
    • Simple terms. From $349 per employee per month, no onboarding fee, no salary markup, month-to-month with no lock-in. India hires are onboarded in 48 hours.
    • Plans: Embark from $349, with higher tiers at $549 and $749 per employee per month.
    • Watch for: a smaller country list than global platforms — check that your countries are covered

Best for: startups and growing companies hiring mainly in India who want predictable, all-in pricing and a person to call.

    2. Gloroots — lowest starting price

Gloroots publishes the lowest EOR starting price in this list, at $199 per employee per month. It also offers Contractor of Record at $99, contractor payments at $29 per month, and recruitment at 10% of annual salary.

    • Price: from $199 per employee/month

Best for: price-sensitive teams that are comfortable confirming inclusions line by line.

    3. Multiplier — all-in-one platform with tiered plans

Multiplier sells EOR in tiers. Core is $459 per month on an annual contract or $499 month-to-month; Growth is $519 or $559. Enterprise pricing is custom. Its pricing page notes that compliance-mandated add-ons and implementation fees apply on top.

    • Price: $459–$559 per employee/month, depending on plan and term
    • Other products: contractors ($40 per month) and Contractor of Record ($400 per month), both billed annually
    • Watch for: add-ons and implementation fees not included in the headline price

Best for: mid-size teams that want tiered features and are ready to commit annually for the lower rate.

    4. Remote — broad platform, premium price

Remote lists EOR at $699 per employee per month. It also offers payroll and contractor management from $29 per month, Contractor Management Plus at $99, PEO from $99, Contractor of Record from $325 and equity management from $39.

    • Price: $699 per employee/month
    • Other products: payroll, contractors, PEO, equity
    • Watch for: the highest EOR price in this list, alongside Oyster

Best for: companies that want EOR, payroll through their own entities and contractor management on one platform. See our full breakdown of Remote pricing in 2026.

    5. Oyster — employee-experience focus

Oyster lists EOR at $699 per employee per month, with annual discounts available on request. Contractor payments are free for 30 days, then $29 per contractor per month.

    • Price: $699 per employee/month; annual discount on request
    • Other products: contractor payments, people-partner services
    • Watch for: the annual rate isn’t published — get it in writing

Best for: distributed teams that prioritise employee-experience tools and are willing to negotiate an annual rate.

Deel vs Remote: the short answer

Deel is $100 cheaper per employee per month at list price: $599 against $699. Both are broad global platforms with contractor, PEO and payroll products. If you’re choosing between the two on EOR price alone, Deel is lower. If most of your hires are in one country, a specialist will usually cost less than either.

    DeelRemote
    EOR per employee/month$599$699
    Contractor management$49$29 (Plus: $99)
    Contractor of Record$325From $325

Which Deel alternative fits your situation?

    • You’re hiring mainly in India: a specialist such as StratEdge Global, which bundles health insurance and knows India’s Labour Codes in depth.
    • Lowest possible fee is the priority: Gloroots, after confirming what the base price includes.
    • You want tiered features and can commit annually: Multiplier.
    • You need EOR plus payroll for your own entities in many countries: Remote.
    • Employee experience tools matter most: Oyster.

How to switch from Deel to another EOR

Switching EOR is routine, but timing matters. A typical switch looks like this:

    1. Check your Deel terms. Note the notice period and any fees for ending the service.
    2. Pick a switch date at the start of a payroll month, so no month is split between providers.
    3. Share employee data with the new provider: contracts, salaries, leave balances and benefits.
    4. Issue new employment contracts. The new EOR becomes the legal employer. Terms such as salary and leave balances should carry over.
    5. Transfer statutory accounts. In India, make sure PF and gratuity continuity is handled properly.
    6. Tell your employees early. Explain what changes and what doesn’t. Most will see no change to their pay or role.
    7. Run the first payroll with the new provider and check every payslip.

    Is Multiplier cheaper than Deel?

Yes, at list price. Multiplier’s Core plan is $459 a month on an annual contract or $499 monthly, against Deel’s $599. Multiplier notes that add-ons and implementation fees apply on top.

Which Deel alternative is best for hiring in India?

Yes. The new provider issues new employment contracts and takes over payroll from a set date. Check your Deel notice terms first, and plan the switch around a payroll cycle.

Yes. Salary and statutory contributions are set by your offer and local law. Only the platform fee and extras such as insurance differ between providers.
